LinkedIn is a lot of things, it’s not just for connections. I treat my LinkedIn like a social platform as well. Allow me to share the three things that I regularly do on LinkedIn that you probably have never done but you should definitely try. They are worth it!
1. Record a 30-second video introduction on your LinkedIn profile page (perfect opportunity to create some connection - humanizes your profile page)
2. Send a recorded message as opposed to sending a written direct message. It’s different, and another opportunity to create a connection
3. Commit to creating ONE “high quality” post every week - focus on building authority in your industry. Source and share an awesome article, craft some smart commentary (demonstrating your expertise), tag author/publication/interviewees, and add 3-5 relevant #hashtags
